Dearest Athena,
My life might well be thought perfect, though it is not. Over me two men have fought. One of them I am madly in love with, but the other is just a total and complete twit. The one that means the world to me is the one that I want to be with. My father, however, disapproves greatly. So much, in fact, that he was willing to behead me! He wants the twit and I to elope. But I want to cut his head open like a cantaloupe.
The man I love – shall we call him Bill – is a perfect gentleman. He was raised better by his parents than anybody else can! He has just as much wealth as that twit – shall we call him Bob – keeps. Bill is also as high up in reputation as Bob, who also often peeps. How can I love someone like Bob, that awful muddle head! How many rude things about others he has said. He tries to understand me, to love me as well. But no love for him from me has fell. He wooed my best friend, and didn’t say a word. She would love for him to with her flirt. He broke her heart; ere I say, I may break his face.
Bill, however, is like a miracle sent from above. Many a times he has told me it is I whom he must love. I believe it, too. I love him just as much as Aphrodite came from a sea of blue. He has courted me, brought me flowers, loved me most; he has cooked for me quite a delicious roast. He is amazing, you see. I want nothing more than for him to be with me. He speaks to me kindly, and treats me fair. He loves everything about me, from my toes to my hair. Oh, dearest Athena, I love him so. Why can’t my life with him begin to grow?
And my best friend, Ame, we shall say, thinks ill of herself to this very day. She is beautiful, can’t she see? Why, she is just as or even more beautiful than me! But yet she believes this not so; all because Bob would rather be her foe. Bob, you see, is whom she loves. But Bob has not seen the love-showing white doves. He rather treats her badly, and yet she stays. She has spent many a sleepless night wondering about his ways. He said he loved her, ‘til he saw me. Why so complicated does love have to be? And so, dearest Athena, you must see my predicament. Please send me some help, for I am sick of it! I trust in you, goddess of wisdom. Please, fix love’s system!

Keep standing up to your dad. If all else fails, elope with the guy you love.

Dear Amiable,
ReplyDeleteStand up for what you believe in. Never let anyone in the way. Stand up to your father, let him know that you do not want to live a life chosen by him. Say that is his life and this is yours and that you shall make your own decisions because you are a grown woman. Risk your life for what you love. Never put up with someone that shall NEVER mean anything to you. Also try to "hook up" your friend and the man you shall never love. It will get him off your back so you can be with the man of your dreams. I believe just on how you express you love about him you life has grown. You have become part of hi life just like you have become apart of his. Love that you shall share with the one you love is very difficult because you must fight for what you love and NEVER give up or give in to someone you will never love.
Wish you the greatest luck,
Athena the wisest goddess of earth
